The Shop staff comprise Shop Manager, Assistant Shop Manager, some part-time staff and a large number of volunteer staff.
9am Vergers begin hoovering in the Cathedral
Part of the verger's duties is to keep the Cathedral looking spic and span.
9am Switchboard and Reception opens for Public enquiries
The Cathedral Office is situated near the Cathedral. It is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
9.15am The Friends of Truro Cathedral set up a fundraising stall in High Cross
The Friends hold various fundraising events to help raise funds to restore the building fabric. These include Garden Parties, Concerts, Coffee mornings and table top sales.
9.15am Flower Guild arrive to water flowers in the Cathedral
The Flower Guild usually comes in on Saturday morning to arrange fresh flower displays in the Cathedral.
9.30am Organist begins practice
Music plays a central role within the Cathedral worship. The Choir is of a very high standard (listen to one of their CDs and you will agree) and the Willis Organ is of world renown.
9.30am Sewing Guild arrives to start work
The Sewing Guild works from a room in the office repairing and mending Altar Frontals, Cassocks, Altar Linen, etc.
9.30am Canon Peter Walker starts a school visit

9.30am Fresh Food deliveries arrive for Restaurant
The Restaurant uses locally sourced products where it can and 'Fairly Traded' products where it can't source locally.
