Instructions for Specific Services at
Truro Cathedral
On the right are instructions to guide visiting choirs through specific services at Truro Cathedral.
The simplest pattern for a week in residence is to sing Evensong on weekdays (starting on Monday but not singing Thursday and / or Saturday), with a Sung Eucharist and Evensong on Sunday. The three instruction sheets needed for this would be 1a, 2a and 3a below.
However, during the week, you will have to sing a Eucharist (instruction sheet 4) if it is a class one or two feast day, or Solemn Evensong (instruction sheet 3b) if it is the eve of a class one or two feast day.
Class one or two feast days which fall on a Sunday require a Solemn Eucharist (instruction sheet 1b) and Solemn Evensong (instruction sheet 2b).
You will be advised exactly what is required well in advance of your visit. Once the pattern of services has been decided, you can download the relevant instructions as required.
