Early this morning everyone on site was holding their breath as a giant crane lifted the scaffolding bridge up the face of the Cathedral. Under a moonlit sky the crane edged the bridge inch by inch into the morning sky.
Once the scaffolding bridge was in position it was carefully secured and the link between NW and SW towers was complete.

As dawn breaks over the truro skyline the scaffolders have secured the bridge and are looking forward to well earned breakfast.
