BBC Concert Orchestra and Truro Cathedral Choir with cellist Natalie Clein

A unique chance to hear all three in one special concert. Truro Cathedral is thrilled that the BBC Concert Orchestra will be travelling to Cornwall to join our very own Truro Cathedral Choir for what promises to be a very special concert.  The theme for the concert is ‘nature’ and it will feature independent pieces by the choir and the orchestra, before they come together with children from Richard Lander School, Truro School, Truro High School for Girls and Cornwall Youth Chamber Choir, to perform the premiere of a new work by Dobrinka Tabakova, written especially for the occasion.   A rare opportunity to hear the BBC Concert Orchestra in the cathedral's magical acoustic, with the full cathedral choir, lots of gifted students from local schools, and music written especially for the occasion by leading contemporary composer, Dobrinka Tabakova. The spectacular line-up will be further enhanced by world acclaimed cellist, Natalie Clein, who will join the orchestra for the evening. The BBC Radio 3 team will also be present and recording the entire concert for later broadcast.
