City of London Sinfonia: The Fruit of Silence

Tickets for tonight's performance will be available on the door from 6.45pm.

Truro Cathedral Choir is thrilled once again to be joining the outstanding professional orchestral musicians of City of London Sinfonia (CLS) for a performance that is part of CLS’s latest Cathedrals Tour, The Fruit of Silence. The performances will take place in different parts of the cathedral and the audience is encouraged to move around the building for a truly immersive experience. The music is meditative, calm and enveloping—from orchestral music by present-day composers who explore the mystic through their music, such as Arvo Pärt and Dobrinka Tabakova, to ancient melodies for choirs that have resounded in cathedrals across centuries.
