Epiphany to Lent concert

A concert celebrating Epiphany and Lent with Music of profound beauty and drama. Two of the Lay Vicars Colin Wilson (Counter Tenor) and Jacob Dennison (Baritone) are joined by Assistant Organist Joseph Wicks (Tenor) and Organ Scholar Carolyn Craig (Piano) for a devotional concert of music celebrating the journey from Epiphany to Lent. The concert will feature two of Benjamin Britten’s 5 canticles opening with Journey of the Magi (Canticle IV), a poem by T.S. Eliot followed by the beautiful Gloria Tibi Domine by William Byrd and then the dramatic story of Abraham and Isaac (Canticle II) finishing with a suitably somber baroque lentern piece by Antonio Caldara.
