Truro Cathedral Choir Spring Concert

'Allegri Miserere – and other iconic works for Lent' - Lent is a sombre period of self-examination and repentance in preparation for the celebration of Jesus triumphing over death at Easter. Over the centuries composers have responded with some of their richest, most powerful music. For the spring concert, Truro Cathedral Choir will present an involved programme of by Sheppard, Tallis, Victoria, Lobo, Purcell and Greene, with Allegri’s sublime Miserere, two movements from the Requiem by Brahms and Parry’s poignant end-of-life anthem Lord, let me know mine end.
