Handel's Messiah is central to the Christmas musical festivities in Truro where it has been performed annually for many years. Arias of mesmerising beauty and triumphant courage sit alongside choruses of stunning power - including the famous 'Hallelujah Chorus'.

Vivid harmonies and intense drama are woven into the music. First heard in 1741, it remains as popular today as ever.
