Friends' of Truro Cathedral brave the weather!

On Tuesday 4th of July, some 65 Friends of Truro Cathedral spent the evening together on the River Fal on their annual river trip.

It was a splendid evening despite several downpours. Hardy and faithful, the gathered Friends enjoyed pasties, drinks and the stunning sights of the River Fal. A raffle raised much-needed and welcome funds for the Friends whose aim is to bring people together who love Truro Cathedral and want to find ways to support the life and witness of the cathedral. I joined them for the first time. It was immense fun, not least seeing many parts of Cornwall from the river and enjoying several stunning rainbows along the way.

If you would like to become a Friend of Truro Cathedral please contact us at 01872 274986 and leave a message or by emailing: info@friendsoftrurocathedral.org.uk  The Friends have a comprehensive programme of events and excursions throughout the year and meet on the second Wednesday of every month for coffee in the Old Cathedral School.
