Diocesan Pastures New for Rev'd Jane

After three years working at the heart of the cathedral team as our assistant curate, at the morning eucharist on Sunday 16 September we must officially say goodbye to Jane Horton as her curacy formally concludes.  Dean Roger said  "Jane has lit up our cathedral life with her warmth, compassion and commitment, and we will miss her terribly.  Like all curates, she has grown in her understanding of priestcraft whilst putting up with the idiosyncrasis of her clergy colleagues.  She has developed wonderful pastoral skills as well as developing our 'Pondering' courses over the past couple of years, and both these aspects of her life here will be fondly remembered".  As Jane is taking up a post with the Diocese to help develop its discipleship programme, thankfully its not really 'goodbye', more 'see you again soon'.  We send Jane our thanks for all she has done in her time with us, and prayers and blessings for her future role.
