Victoria Field was the writer-in-residence at Truro Cathedral during 2006. At present there are no plans for future artistic residencies.

Victoria graduated and lectured in psychology before spending several years working for the British Council in Turkey, Russia and Pakistan. She is a past director of Survivors Poetry and is currently chair of Lapidus – creative words for health and well-being, a national voluntary organisation. She has won many awards for her writing and is a qualified Poetry Therapist. Her first poetry collection is Olga’s Dreams and her fiction has appeared in Scryfa and elsewhere. Her second play, produced by Hall for Cornwall toured in February 2006.

"I began the residency, symbolically, by attending the Advent Carol Service on the 28th November 2005 and completed it during September 2006. As well as pursuing my own creative work, I have created opportunities for other writers to become involved with Truro Cathedral as a uniquely inspiring presence in Cornwall. If you are interested in any aspect of the residency, please do get in touch."
