The hours below are the current general visiting times. Please always check before planning your visit as opening times can change as we accommodate events and activities. General Visiting:
Monday-Saturday: 10:00-17:00
Sunday 11:30-16:00
Bank Holidays
Our bank holiday opening times are now the same as our general visiting times (unless specifically stated otherwise).
Please note:
Tuesday 18 November - the cathedral will be closed from 12:00 - 16:00 due to full staff training.
Mars: War and Peace by Luke Jerram
This captivating artwork will be exhibited at the cathedral between 13 October - 2 November.
To see Mars by Day there is no need to book and there is no charge, donations are appreciated. When planning your visit please check the website for Mars by Day dates/times as these will vary.
Mars by Night Events -we would advise that you book your ticket to see Mars by Night prior to your visit.
Celestial Heights Tours - we would strongly recommend this is booked in advance as spaces are limited.
Please note Saturday 18 October - the cathedral will be closed for ALL general visiting. Please be aware we will not be open for visitors to see at the art exhibit Mars: War and Peace by Luke Jerram. For visitors who wish to visit for prayer on this day please access the cathedral via the accessible ramp to the side of the building on High Cross and the stewards will direct you to the chapel.
