Truro’s Volunteer Thankyou Party and Celebration for the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III

All are welcome to celebrate, create and enjoy a tea party at Truro Cathedral.

Local creatives will be delivering activities throughout the day inspiring visitors. This will include Coronation-themed face-painting and artists Rebus and Charli Brix who will be creating a series of artworks on canvas to celebrate.

You can join our Tapestry Community: meet artists Sue Loydell and Sam Bradbury and create your own decorated fabric square to add to our Volunteer Celebration Tapestry. You might like to share why you volunteer, what you enjoy about volunteering or what you would aspire to do if you could offer your time. Remember, every little bit helps. If you have a special button or piece of fabric or badge that you would like to incorporate into your square, please bring it along.

Cornwall Dance School will be sharing a special performance.

We look forward to welcoming representatives from many local organisations who all benefit from the tireless support of their volunteers. Various local voluntary organisations and groups will host stands to share their missions and offer opportunities to learn more about volunteering. We will also offer bespoke workshops for volunteer-led groups or organisations, throughout May. A family-friendly day. Free entry and all are welcome.
