George Tinworth’s terracotta panel “Our Lord on His way to the Crucifixion”, in the North Quire Aisle, is one of the most loved attractions in Truro Cathedral. We shall hear the story of this great Arts & Craftsman, who rose from humble beginnings to become Chief Designer at Royal Doulton Pottery.
Truro’s enormous panel was the first one he made and is now the only one still on public view.
Organised by the Friends of Truro Cathedral this fascinating talk will be held in the Chapter House. Tickets are £12.50 (which includes coffee/tea/cake) and can be purchased from the Friends Table after the Sunday Morning Eucharist, or by phoning 01872 274986 and leaving a contact number, or by emailing Angela Hare, the chair of fundraising, at: firstname.lastname@example.org
This event is open to members and non-members, all are welcome.
