Building Peace

Help build peace in every language, cloth by cloth, word by word, prayer by prayer.

Friday 24 October is United Nations Day, and Truro Cathedral will focus on the importance of building peace throughout the day.

At 09:45 the Truro Litany for Peace will be prayed in the Chapel of Unity and Peace.

From 10:00-16:00 please join in building a visual image of our commitment to peace by writing the word ‘peace’ in any language on a strip of cloth in any language thus illustrating our place in the global community. You can then add your 'peace cloth' to the emerging Peace Fence along St Mary's Aisle. This will be built into a rich tapestry of languages and commitments to peace.

A member of the cathedral team will be on duty throughout the day.
