Bio

Yarno Missiaen (Veurne, March 10, 2005) is a Belgian musician and is regarded as one of the most promising and leading organists of his generation in Belgium.

He began his musical training at the age of seven with piano lessons at the music academy in Veurne, where he studied for eight years under Veerle Elst. At fifteen, he received his first organ lessons at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven (Belgium) with Bart Jacobs. He later continued his studies at the Conservatory of Tilburg (Netherlands) under Ruud Huijbregts and is currently studying at the Conservatory of Ghent (Belgium) with Ignace Michiels.

In 2023, Missiaen released his debut recording on the Belgian label Etcetera: the complete Orgelbüchlein (BWV 599–644) by Johann Sebastian Bach. The recording received high praise and marked a turning point in his career, leading to an impressive series of solo concerts both in Belgium and abroad, as well as collaborations with prominent choirs and orchestras.
In the spring of 2025, he was invited— as the youngest of six selected participants — to take part in an ambitious project led by Hugo van Geet, aiming to perform the complete works of Johann Sebastian Bach over a period of three years.

Live-stream

Please note that this recital will not be live-streamed and will only be available in-person.
