The Royal British Legion Service of Remembrance

Civic dignitaries, including the Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall and the Mayor of Truro will attend this service with military personnel, past and present. The service follows on from the laying of wreaths at the city’s war memorial in Boscawen Street. This year the service in the cathedral will incorporate the creation of a ‘Drumhead altar’ and poppies will be dropped from the central tower during the silence and the playing of the Last Post.
