A new face for a new role

The cathedral team continues to work hard to develop and implement its organisational strategy that, at its core, focuses on ensuring the preservation of Truro Cathedral and its work for generations to come. Thanks to a recent grant from the Cathedral Sustainability Fund, the cathedral has been able to take the next step in its plan with the introduction of a new Chief Operating Officer (COO) role. The role will focus on developing the cathedral’s commercial opportunities across retail, catering and events, in addition to exploring income opportunities for the recently developed Old Cathedral School.

The recruitment process is now complete and we are delighted to confirm that Mr Sean O’Neill has been appointed to the COO role. We extend a warm welcome to Sean who officially joins the cathedral team in July 2019 from Heartlands, a free visitor attraction and World Heritage Site Gateway in Pool, near Redruth.
