Cathedral welcomes the 2019 CIMCF

If a collective noun doesn’t already exist to describe a cathedral full of choirs, we may need to invent one, for this spring Truro Cathedral is thrilled to once again welcome the Cornwall International Male Choral Festival (CIMCF). In contrast to previous years, the cathedral will be the venue for the majority of the 2019 festival’s prestigious concerts and competitions. Festival Artistic Director, Gareth Churcher, said, “Truro Cathedral is a special place for the choirs to sing – its atmosphere and acoustic is wonderful, and we’re thrilled to be able to hold so many of our key festival events here in 2019.” This year, the festival boasts 60 visiting choirs from all over the world, including the Atlantic Boys Choir the National Boys Choir of Canada, Klapa Kastav from Croatia and The St Stithians Boys Choir from South Africa to name just a few.
