Help Shape the Future of Truro Cathedral
Truro Cathedral is inviting residents, visitors, worshippers, volunteers and supporters to take part in a survey exploring how the cathedral can remain open, welcoming and financially sustainable for future generations.
Like many cathedrals and historic buildings across the UK, Truro Cathedral faces increasing costs associated with caring for its iconic building. As a registered charity, Truro Cathedral depends on the support of its community to help care for its historic building and sustain its worship, music, education and outreach. The survey offers an opportunity for people to share their views on the cathedral's future and the role it plays in the life of Cornwall. The cathedral is grateful to everyone who takes part and helps inform its future planning, so that it can remain a place of worship and hospitality to the glory of God for many years to come.
As part of its long-term planning, the cathedral is exploring a range of options to support its future sustainability. No decisions have been made, and the cathedral is keen to hear a wide range of views before considering any next steps.
The survey offers an opportunity for people to share their thoughts on the cathedral's future and the role it plays in the life of Cornwall.
Sean O’Neill, Chief Operating Officer, said:
"We are thankful to everyone who takes the time to complete the survey. Truro Cathedral belongs to the whole community, and your views will help us better understand how people value the cathedral and how we can continue to care for this special place for generations to come. Please take part and help inform our future."
The survey can be accessed at Survey
The survey closes on Wednesday 18 November, and all responses will be carefully considered as part of the cathedral's ongoing exploration of how best to secure its future.
Thank you in advance to everyone who takes part and shares their views. Together, we can help ensure Truro Cathedral continues to thrive as a place of worship, heritage, music, culture and community for generations to come.
