Meeting Nadelik & Lowen

Choristers of Truro Cathedral Choir standing with a reindeer on Portreath beach

On Monday 7 October, nine members of the choir, along with the dean, had the opportunity to say hello to two rather special reindeer, Nadelik and Lowen. The lucky few had the opportunity to have some photographs taken on the beach with this beautiful pair of animals thanks to the team at not-for-profit Feadon Farm Wildlife Centre, part of the five-star Landal Gwel an Mor resort in Portreath. Nadelik and Lowen are just two of the resident animals, many of which have been rescued, that are lovingly and meticulously cared for by the Feadon team. “The opportunity came out of a chance phone call and was too lovely an experience to pass by,” said Christopher Gray, the cathedral’s director of music. “The choristers all got to learn about the reindeer brothers and enjoyed the experience immensely.” The choir even decided to use one of the photographs taken for its Christmas concert image.
