The 2019 Organ Recital Series

Looking up at the organ pipes of the Father Willis organ at Truro Cathedral

This year the end of March heralds not just the official start of Spring, but the eagerly anticipated start of the cathedral’s 2019 Organ Recital Series. Each year we welcome some of the country’s finest organists to play our world acclaimed  Father Willis Organ. This year is no exception with the first recital at 13:10 on Friday 29 March being given by Richard Pinel of Jesus College, Cambridge. The series runs from March to October, and in spring alone we welcome other much-admired organists including Peter King from Exeter and Daniel Cook from Durham Cathedral.

The recitals are around 45 minutes in length and are completely free to attend. We only ask that if you are able, you consider making a donation – the income generated by the generosity of both the audience and artists (who play for free) directly supports music at the cathedral and our ability to continue to offer such events to the community.  Visit our What's On section to see dates of up and coming recitals.
