Truro Cathedral Chapter Trustee Recruitment Announcement

Truro Cathedral continues to strengthen its governance this year, by recruiting up to three new non-executive members to its board of trustees – the Chapter.

Building on the great contributions of Chapter members past and present, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, diverse, and refreshed Chapter team, all dedicated to providing strategic oversight and direction to cathedral staff and volunteers and championing the cathedral's mission within the County and beyond.

Like many of the nation’s cathedrals, Truro is a charity facing a challenging future. To sustain our mission to advance the Christian religion and preserve this amazing building and heritage site for at least another 150 years of its history, we need to implement a financial recovery plan and a culture change that will involve tough decisions for this great and historic church - the loving and compassionate heart of a Christian community.

If you think you have the skills and experience at Board level to help guide such a challenging, delicate and (ultimately!) rewarding process, we would love to hear from you. The Chapter team's refreshment is still information; you will have a chance to shape it.

Truro Cathedral Nominations Committee is supporting the Dean, Chapter and recruitment officers on the process, and we have a Chapter Recruitment Pack that provides all the details.

We pray for God’s guidance and discernment through this recruitment process.
