Autumn Song Lunchtime Concert

A free autumn lunchtime concert celebrating the depth, sonority & versatility of the Contralto Voice, with Elizabeth Chivers - Contralto & Rico Gerber - accompanist.

Elizabeth has an international profile as a singer and teacher, having sung across the UK, in France, Switzerland, Ireland and Oman in O-pera, Oratorio and Recital. She lives in Cornwall where she gives performances mostly raising money for charities and churches; teaches singing to singers of all ages and abilities, and is MD of Award winning Mabe Ladies Choir. Rico also living in Cornwall, is an outstanding pianist, accompanist and composer, working with soloists and choirs and performing as a piano and instrumental soloist in his own right.

The varied programme will include songs from Richard Wagner's Wesendonk Lieder & Edward Elgar's Sea Pictures; with Folk Songs composed by Ilse Weber and arrangements by Benjamin Britten & Rico Gerber, with Arias from operas including Il Trovatore by Giuseppe Verdi, Vanessa by Samuel Barber & The Consul by Giancarlo Menotti; finishing up with popular songs from the World of West End Musical. An afternoon concert to entertain, soothe and stimulate.

All are very welcome to attend. There is no charge for entry.
