Bach's St John Passion: St Mary's Singers

On Good Friday, 7th April 1724, J S Bach’s St John Passion was first performed at St Thomas Church in Leipzig and has remained one of the most revered musical settings of the Passion narrative. St Mary’s Singers recreate that momentous occasion in Truro Cathedral with St Mary’s Orchestra and a star-studded collection of soloists. This will be sung as an act of worship and will follow the liturgical settings together with congregational participation in some of the well-known Chorales.
