Mothers’ Union: New Year Bring and Share Lunch
Held in the Chapter House, this is the Mothers' Union annual get together for the cathedral and St John’s branches of Mothers’ Union. New members and enquirers are welcome, and if bringing a dish, please bring a list of ingredients. Join us to celebrate the start of Mothers’ Union’s 150th anniversary year!
About Mothers' Union
Mothers’ Union is a worldwide Christian movement 4 million strong. It was founded in 1876, and they celebrate our 150th anniversary this year with their Patrons HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh and the new Archbishop of Canterbury, The Rt Revd Dame Sarah Mullally.
Internationally, Mothers’ Union members take a faith-based and community-led approach to tackling poverty, injustice and violence against women and girls. In Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly we support these campaigns and believe that God wants people to flourish through happy family lives. The branch members come together to enjoy good company, pray for parents and children, and do what we can to help. Everyone – members, friends and supporters - is welcome to their sociable meetings.
