Mothers' Union Poetry Afternoon
A welcome return to Mothers’ Union for poet Rev’d Roger Bush. Come along to hear Roger’s inspiring, and often amusing, poems. Refreshments will be served, and non-members are warmly invited.
This event will take place in the Assembly Room of the Old Cathedral School building.
Mothers’ Union is a worldwide Christian movement 4 million strong. It was founded in 1876, and we celebrate our 150th anniversary this year with our Patrons HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh and the new Archbishop of Canterbury, The Rt Revd Dame Sarah Mullally.
Internationally, Mothers’ Union members take a faith-based and community-led approach to tackling poverty, injustice and violence against women and girls. In Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly we support these campaigns and believe that God wants people to flourish through happy family lives. Our branch members come together to enjoy good company, pray for parents and children, and do what we can to help. Everyone – members, friends and supporters - is welcome to our sociable meetings.
