Organ Concert

The 2026 Truro Cathedral Organ Concert Series welcomes first-rate organists to play Truro’s acclaimed Father Willis Organ.

This weeks organist is Truro Cathedral's assistant director of music, Andrew Wyatt.

Andrew presents a performance of Olivier Messiaen’s monumental work, L’Ascension; fitting that it is taking place on Ascension Day.

Messiaen’s four movement work, L’Ascension, is celebrated for its harmonies, rhythms, and spiritual depth. This performance offers a rare opportunity to experience one of the 20th century’s most remarkable organ masterpieces, live in concert, and performed on the day for which it was written.

Live-stream

The concert will be live-streamed on this page at 13:10 as well as the cathedral YouTube channel.

The series runs from March to October and each concert lasts around 45 minutes. There is no charge to attend or listen to these, and the cathedral only asks that if you are able, you consider making a donation - the income generated by the generosity of both the audience and artists (who play for free) directly supports music at the cathedral and the ability to continue to offer such community events.
