Tuesday Live

2026 sees the tenth series of summer Tuesday lunchtime concerts!

The concerts, which take place mainly on the first and third Tuesdays of the month from May to September, offer a chance to hear just a sample of the wealth of musical talent that exists in Cornwall.

The sixth of the 2026 Summer Tuesday concert series sees the very welcome return of Simon Latarche, the highly accomplished jazz pianist and composer. Simon frequently performs with other musicians at jazz festivals, hotels and other venues, but this concert provides a rare opportunity to hear him as a solo pianist playing jazz standards alongside his own compositions. His two sets of Cornish preludes brought him to the attention of the international jazz world; they were aired on Radio 3 and on many other stations across the globe, to considerable critical acclaim. Listening to jazz piano in the cool of the cathedral in the middle of the day is ideal during a heatwave - an experience not to be missed.

Concerts last for around forty-five minutes, so offer a perfect break in your shopping trip or your working day. There is no charge to see these concerts, with donations appreciated to support Truro Cathedral Music, particularly Truro Cathedral Choir.
