Volunteers Week: The Long Table Lunch
Volunteers’ Week is an annual UK-wide campaign held from the first Monday in June to celebrate and recognise the contributions of volunteers. At Truro Cathedral, without the support of our dedicated volunteers, we would not be able to do all that we do; and we'd like to use this week, especially, to shine a light on our volunteers and thank them for all of their hardwork throughout the year.
The long table lunch is an idea that was proposed in a sermon by Dean Simon in 2023. Join us at the long table for a picnic lunch in the cathedral. Bring your own lunch and we provide cake and drinks for afterwards. The long table lunch has grown and every time we have had to add yet another table.
This special long table lunch is for volunteers week and an opportunity for us to gather as a community and thank our amazing volunteers. All are very welcome to attend and give thanks.
