Trialling the ‘tap’

Visitors to Truro Cathedral now have the option to ‘tap’ to support the cathedral, thanks to its trial of a new contactless donation point located by the main entrance.

The small unit allows people to select a donation amount of £3, £5 or £10, then use their contactless card or device (such as their phone) to make a donation. “The contactless donation trial is about making it as easy as possible for visitors that wish to make a donation to be able to do so in the way they are most comfortable,” said Dean Roger. “Truro Cathedral relies on the generosity of supporters to raise the £1.3m needed each year to remain open – and we are sincerely grateful for every single donation received – thank you.”
